The University of Montana announced this week that two major artists will be appearing at the Adams Center, rock legend Neil Young on October 1, and country superstar Miranda Lambert on September 24.

Adams Center Executive Director Brad Murphy urges concert-goers to get their tickets at legitimate outlets, to ensure they're the real thing.

"Neil Young tickets go on sale this Monday, August 24 at 8 a.m. while tickets for Miranda Lambert won't go on sale until Friday the 28th at 10 a.m.," Murphy said. "Threre's a lot of secondary market tickets and scalpers out there that aren't legit. We want our customers to know that you need to go to the GrizTix website to buy your tickets, or to go to our outlets, which are Worden's Market, the MSO Hub, The Source on campus or Southgate Mall, or our box office here at the Adams Center."

Even though Dahlberg arena can seat over 7,000 for a basketball game, Murphy emphasized that number is greatly diminished for a concert, due to staging, lights and sound.

"There's about 5,400 tickets for each show," he said. "If you have any questions, you can call our box office at 243-4051. Don't buy tickets on the secondary market unless you absolutely know for sure they're legit tickets."

Murphy said the construction of the Athlete's Academic Center that has hampered parking in front of the Adams Center has been completed, allowing for more parking and easier traffic flow.
