WASHINGTON (AP) — Jane Fonda is joining a group of Hollywood power players to host a fundraiser for presidential candidate Steve Bullock on Thursday, a show of support that could lend credibility among Democratic donors to the little-known Montana governor.
Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) offered some good advice to fellow Montana Democrat Steve Bullock, who is complaining about not qualifying for the presidential primary debate due to his zero percent polling. Tester basically told Bullock to put on his big boy pants.
Montana Gov. Steve Bullock and U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts were the only major candidates out of the two dozen Democratic hopefuls who failed to meet the polling or grassroots fundraising measures required to get a debate spot.
Phew. That was starting to get embarrassing. At least twice on national TV, Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) refused to endorse his fellow Montana Democrat, Gov. Steve Bullock (D-MT), and his presidential run.
Make no mistake: this wasn't merely a rejection of former Commissioner of Political Practices Jon Motl, this was a rejection of Gov. Steve Bullock by the normally very liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
