Montana National Guard

If you've travelled the state or talked to folks around Montana, whether it is folks working in the schools, or working in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities- they will all tell you what a Godsend these National Guard soldiers and airmen have been.

Montana soldiers are now back home on Treasure State soil. The soldiers with the 189th General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB) made it back to Montana on Saturday, following a year long deployment overseas.

Montana is for badasses. You've seen the memes (they're accurate). Well, this guy beat the other badasses in Montana to win the Best Warrior competition in the Montana Army National Guard, and now he's crushing it in the national Best Warrior competition taking on the best of the best from elsewhere in the country.

A group of Montana soldiers will soon be headed overseas on a military deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, and Operation Spartan Shield.

We'll have more info to follow later this week, but the Montana National Guard shared some very exciting news over the weekend- free tuition for ALL Montana National Guard soldiers and airmen at state colleges.

On Friday morning, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox presented the 2019 Matt Dale Outstanding Advocate of the Year award to a Judge Advocate with the Montana National Guard at Fort Harrison.

The guard aims to buy land from Billings Flying Service to construct an aviation maintenance building.

Welcome home to the soldiers of the Montana Army National Guard's 495th CSSB! The soldiers finally made it home over the weekend following a nearly year-long tour to Afghanistan. Check out more pictures below.
