Comedian Steve Alan, is thought to have originated the definition, “Comedy = tragedy + time.” Quick response to terrorism aside, Charlie Hebdo’s publishers must be measuring time in Poodle years by not letting mass murder delay a publishing deadline. The magazine usually sells 60,000 copies. Some estimate that Wednesday's edition sold out at 5,000,000 copies. I don't begrudge Charlie Hebdo for capitalizing on a marketing opportunity. But I’d love to see the cartoon if satirizes itself for profiting from it’s own crisis! Don’t be offended with this. Charlie Hebdo is used to loosing a few teeth from satirical punch lines.
