While trick or treating as a kid, someone put a toothbrush in my bag. Now you know why I’m psychotic. In 2012, New York City banned the words birthday and Halloween from city issued tests because some groups object to those celebrations.  In 2013, a school in Connecticut banned makeup and Halloween costumes because Halloween offends or upsets some children. This year, more Connecticut schools are replacing Halloween with politically correct “Fall Festivals.” Here’s the illogic of political correctness: because a few people don’t like something, many people are denied that something. We elect or leaders based on majority rule. Political correctness seems to be the revenge of the minority. Ironically, political correctness is a metaphorical Halloween mask. PC masquerades as a protector. In reality, PC is destroyer and a killjoy that deliberately spoils the enjoyment of others through resentful and overly sober behavior. My name is. E. Curtis Johnson. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that dentists are secretly behind all of this.
