At  7:34 this morning, March 3, Frenchtown Rural Fire Department responded to a house fire on Serenity Way, just off of Erskin Road at the west end of town.

According to Fire Chief Joe Calnan of the Frenchtown Rural Fire Department, the house looked as if it were a "total loss; the roof had caved in and nearly all of the windows were blown out."

No one was injured in the blaze which appears to have been caused by a gas leak. An investigation into cause of the fire is still underway.
