Protesters of President Donald Trump expressed themselves with a sign seen high above Missoula on Mount Jumbo, adding some extra letters to the iconic “L” to form the word “LIAR.”

Meanwhile, former Montana GOP Chairman Will Deschamps Sr. posted on Facebook “this is a concealed and open carry state and we know how to use em,” telling the Missoulian that he only suggested people defend themselves against Democratic violence– but during the rally on Thursday, President Trump praised U.S. Rep. Greg Gianforte for physically assaulting Guardian journalist Ben Jacobs last year– a crime to which he pleaded guilty, paid a fine, was sentenced to community service– and was treated for anger management. Trump riled up the Missoula crowd saying “Any guy that can do a body slam, he’s my kind of guy.” Gianforte faces Kathleen Williams on November 6th.
