Is there going to be a Civil War that starts in Montana? That's what one liberal writer had to say after attending a family reunion in the vicinity of Montana's Paradise Valley. He also dissed what he sees as "bougie" Bozeman, and "trashy" Three Forks.

Why are so many people moving here from these other states. Do they share our Montana values? Or, do they want to bring the mess with them from states like California?

For years, officials have been working to protect the Bozeman water supply through the Bozeman Municipal Watershed Project. The fear is that if a major fire swept through, it would jeopardize the water supply.
How many of you were one of those kids in the 1980s when movies like Footloose and Dirty Dancing were constantly on TV? I got a kick out of the fact that a bunch of high school kids in Bozeman apparently had to "cut footloose" and head to Big Timber, Montana for the big school dance.
Here is the topline from the latest Census numbers that recently came out. Kalispell, Montana leads the nation in total net domestic migration out of 538 micropolitan areas in the country. Bozeman came in at 4th highest.
