Basketball has been a passion of mine since the age of 5.

Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss has died. Buss had been fighting on undisclosed form of cancer, but according to Buss' assistant, Bob Steiner, the "immediate cause of death was kidney failure." He was 80.

According to sources, the owners have the Sacramento Kings have agreed to sell the team to an ownership group in Seattle. The group plans to move the team back to that city and reclaim the name Supersonics.

Another NBA coach rides off into the sunset, sort of speaking. The Phoenix Suns and head coach Alvin Gentry have parted ways.

The pressures of a half-court shot are immense enough with having to worry about sinking said shot, averting an air ball or even making sure the basketball succeeds in making the long flight to the hoop. But this guy, Kevin, appears to have encountered a whole different worry we never saw coming -- like when your ball gets stuck between the hoop and a backboard.

You just don't see magic like this in the NBA. Mostly because a professional athlete would probably never lob the ball backwards over his head.

Now we remember why we didn't make the NBA cut — we can't defy gravity.

If you find mastering basketball difficult, how about doing it with one arm? This high school student -- who was born with only one upper limb -- certainly hasn't let his setback stop him from excelling in the sport. And after showing his skills on the court, he is getting some well-deserved praise.
