If you liked the short-lived “Scratch and Sniff” movie fade, you’ll love the new oPhone. Yahoo Tech reports that Havard Professor, David Edwards just transferred the first scent from Paris to New York on Tuesday via iPhone app. Take a picture of something on the oPhone communication platform, tag it, send it as an oNote, and if your recipient has a $149 smelling station, which looks like a 22nd Century bong, one can smell what’s in the picture. I presume if you tag the picture wrong, a rose could smell like an armpit or gym sock!

My name is E. Curtis Johnson. Call me old fashioned, but before there was virtual reality there was this thing called – reality. You may remember it. I love technology that enhances and improves life, not replaces it.  If I want to stop and smell roses, I’m happy to take my chances with the real roses with the old fashioned thorns.

I’m E. Curtis Johnson. As human beings we need to be careful of virtual technology and spend more time in the real world.  Which is why you can always find me on Facebook and Twitter.
