BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A 63-year-old Billings man is charged with felony assault on a minor after a 7-year-old boy reported the man tackled him while he was riding his motorbike.

The Associated Press reports Rodney Dean Hein pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.

Court records say the boy's mother told police on Sept. 21 that Hein, her landlord, knocked her son off the bike because the boy was riding it across his property. Investigating officers noted the boy had an 8-inch-long abrasion on his stomach.

Hein's bail was set at $2,500. A trial date has not been set.
