BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Prosecutors say a Billings man assaulted his 3-month-old daughter, fracturing her skull and breaking her arms.

The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/18zvfXS ) 23-year-old Nicholas Leigh Ulmer was charged Monday in Justice Court with three counts of felony assault on a minor. His bail was set at $50,000 and he is to be arraigned on Dec. 17.

Ulmer is not permitted to have contact with his daughter or the child's mother if he is able to post bond.

Charging documents say the baby was taken to the hospital last Thursday. Her right arm was broken in two places, she had an older fracture in her left arm and an older skull fracture.

Court records say Ulmer told officers the injuries happened when he yanked her out of a swing by her arm.
