A “You Know What” Sandwich – Opinions From E. Curtis Johnson

Nepotism in the public work place is wrong! No one – including First Ladies – should have influence over American because of whom they sleeping with. The First Lady and Congress are fighting over school lunch menus - again. Why would we let Mrs. Obama or Congress decide what goes into our children’s bodies?

Granted, many kids hate any food that isn’t sugared breakfast cereal. However, the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, which Mrs. Obama lobbied for, was less appetizing to children than a lunch-lady’s hairnet and over a million kids opted out of the nation’s school lunch programs. Collectively, Congress has the intelligence - and approval rating – as a slice of school cafeteria mystery meat.  Congress thought pizza sauce was a vegetable. Letting Michelle Obama or Congress decide what our kids eat is a you-know-what-sandwich, but we don’t have to take a bite.
