Apple has joined Facebook in offering to pay the costs of freezing and storing employee embryos. Apple’s official statement was, "We want to empower women at Apple to do the best work of their lives as they care for loved ones and raise their families." Let’s put aside the positive aspects of this perk, along with the differences in the shelf life of female embryos and male sperm. Only speaking for myself, if the frozen nitrogen chamber was on the other procreation cell and some big corporation offered to freeze my reproductive swim team so that my family wouldn’t inconvenience said corporation – I’d pass. Fortunately, we all get to make our own decisions on this subject and do what’s best for ourselves. My name is E. Curtis.  Again, speaking solely for myself, I never get to spend enough time with my three boys. Not all my decisions have been popular with my children. However, I’ll never have to look them in the eye and say that I spent less time with them because a corporation made me a better offer. You can freeze embryos, but you can’t freeze time.
