One factor in the stock market dip on Thursday was negative reaction to Apple’s bending iPhone 6. Apple claims that only half a dozen phones were reported bent. Samsung is exploiting Apple’s problem. The, “Curved, Not Bent” advertising campaign highlights a feature of its Galaxy Note Edge phone. I’m bent, too. It’s time for truth in advertising laws. Like tobacco companies, cell phone manufacturers must warn the public of the addictive properties of phones. I know two people who misplaced their phones recently and were totally lost because their lives were in their smart phones. I don’t even go to the bathroom without my phone. Sorry, TMI! “The old ball and chain” used to refer to the person you were married to. My ball and chain is a wireless mistress! How ironic to be trapped by something that I take everywhere. Mobility and captivity describe the same device! I’m E. Curtis Johnson. Have you noticed that prison cell and cell phone both have a word in common?
