Montana's public school science content standards haven't been updated since 2006, so Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau has selected 17 people to serve on a negotiated rule making committee to begin the process.
Montana’s public school districts are doing a better job of identifying homeless students which has improved connecting students with school, community, and local outreach organizations to provide important services.

After years of operating under an outdated and restrictive education law, Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau is pleased the federal government has approved the Every Student Succeeds Act which reauthorizes the 1965 Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
Missoula's C.S. Porter Middle School is the first in the state to receive the Platinum Award for an MBI Exemplar School. The award was presented at MSU in Bozeman on Wednesday morning by Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction, Denise Juneau.
