A recreational vehicle fire shortly before 10 p.m. Friday caused an estimated $3,500 in damaged, according to Assistant Fire Marshal Bill Tatum.

There were no injuries.

The fire damaged the refrigerator and burned through the roof of the recreational vehicle. The interior of the camper sustained smoke damage.

The fire was ruled accidental and was caused by a malfunction in the refrigerator's controls, according to Tatum.
