Unless you follow Brazilian football, you’ve probably never heard of Bruno Fernandes. Fox Soccer reports that two years ago, Fernandes confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend, and holding his son hostage, so he wouldn’t have to pay child support. Feeding her body to the dogs still unproven.

Four years ago Fernandes was convicted of kidnapping his girlfriend, prior to the second kidnapping and murder. Under Brazilian law, for good behavior in prison, felons are allowed some daytime freedom. He was serving the first sentence when he committed the murder.

Because Fernandes has served the four-year minimum provision on his first kidnapping conviction, he’s eligible to resume his football career with a new five-year contract from his old team. However, rest easy, citizens; Fernandes must return to prison at night and can only play and train while under police supervision.

I’m E. Curtis Johnson, just an ugly American imposing my morals on a foreign country.
