I was born and raised in Great Falls and grew up listening to my dad on KMON AM where he was the morning guy. Dad also had a band that would practice at our house for the jobs they played almost every weekend. So, my exposure to country music was huge. At the State Fair in Great Falls in 1971, dad emceed all of the concerts so my sister Michelle, who would also follow us to on-air work, and I got to sit in the front row for Anne Murray, Glen Campbell and the Carpenters
I moved to Montana in 1979 from Cincinnati, Ohio. I started doing play-by-play in 1982 in Billings. I began working at my current job in December 1985 and have never left. I have been on Cat Country mornings since the show started in March 1988. In addition to my on-air job, I own and operate a wheat and cattle ranch north of Billings. I am most proud of my four children.
