Mark Wilson, a native of Great Falls, has a deep-rooted connection to the world of country music. His early exposure came through his father, who was a morning radio host on KMON AM. Mark's childhood home was filled with the sounds of his dad's band practicing for their weekend gigs. One of the pivotal moments in Mark's life was attending the State Fair in Great Falls in 1971. His father served as the emcee for all the concerts, granting Mark the opportunity to enjoy front-row seats for performances by artists like Anne Murray, Glen Campbell, and the Carpenters. After high school, Mark embarked on his own journey in radio. He initiated his career at KMON Great Falls and transitioned to KYSS-FM in Missoula during his college years. His dedication to the radio industry led him to work for KGVO in Missoula and later KYSN-FM in East Wenatchee, Washington. In March 1988, Mark Wilson moved to Billings when Citadel Communications acquired the 102.9 FM and AM970 signals, launching the iconic Cat Country. Since then, he has been an integral part of the Cat Country team. Beyond his passion for radio, Mark enjoys his leisure time playing golf and racquetball, even though he admits that his skills in both sports are a work in progress.

Mark’s 2 Cents on No Laws Against “F-bomb” Biden Flags in Lockwood
Let me start by saying that I am the last guy who can lecture anybody about using bad language. Because I do. But there is a time and a place.

Roundabout 101. Billings Needs Training
I am a fan of the roundabouts that Billings has installed at different intersections around our fair city. It took me a while to warm up to these "hell circles". You can't argue with how much better traffic flows in front of the airport Shilo Road, and on top of Zimmerman Trail.
Carousel Should Be Center Focus of Billings Downtown
I have heard some of my friends talking about what Billings needs. One of those "things we need" that I heard talked about for so many years was an outdoor amphitheater. It was announced recently that we're going to get one and it will be close to downtown. This is another heavily discussed item "How are we going to revitalize the downtown area".
What’s Happening with the Pier 1 Building on 24th in Billings?
Now, back to the Pier One building. Jimmy Johns would do well here, I think. It would give them quite a few more parking places than their current spot in the mini-mall that's farther north on 24th street.
KISS Collectables Include “KISS Kasket”, Really? YES!
I'm not a fan of the band KISS, but they sell damn near everything under the sun with the KISS logo on it. You can buy any of their albums on vinyl or cd. Then, maybe you would like some Kiss comic books. Perhaps some Kiss Him/Kiss Her shampoos.
A Sure Way To Lose My Business? Don’t Answer Your Phone.
Let me start by saying that if you own a business, you get to run it any way you like. But I will tell you about something that will make me do business elsewhere if I can. I will abandon you if you have an automated phone answering system.
My Property Taxes Go To 21 Government Programs, 21!
If you're reading this, then you are probably as mad as I am over how over-taxed most of us are. I got my property tax statement last week. Woof. I'm glad that they finally have broken down all of the places my money will be going.
Stolen or Did I Lose It. Things I Know Were Stolen Some I Found
I was staring out the window the other day thinking about all the things that I've had stolen from me throughout my lifetime. I was wondering if any of those thieves ever got around to feeling bad.
