The Billings Gazette reports that an as yet unidentified elderly Yellowstone County man has died from West Nile virus. RiverStone Health and the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services announced on Wednesday this is the first death associated with West Nile virus in Montana since 2016. There have been 19 confirmed cases of the virus in Montana as of Wednesday, August 29th in numerous counties, including; Carbon, Cascade, Lewis and Clark, McCone, Roosevelt, Toole, Valley and Yellowstone.
