Police are investigating a shooting on Billings’ South Side that injured two people late on Thursday.  A man and woman allegedly sought medical attention at Billings Clinic for gunshot wounds but the extent of the injuries was not disclosed.
Officers were responding to a weapons complaint just before 11pm at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Kratz Lane when they were informed that a white male had fired five of six rounds in front of the corner house, at 396 Jefferson St., and that three vehicles had fled the scene.  Billings Police found shell casings in the street while reports of the gunshot victims were coming in.
A witness reported waking around 11pm to the sound of five or six gunshots, followed closely by the departure of two vehicles parked nearby, one was a gray or “goldish” SUV.  Billings Police Lt. Shawn Mayo said the investigation is ongoing.
