A stabbing Tuesday evening near the corner of Sixth Street West and Central Avenue in Billings sent one man to the hospital.  Police received the call that a man had been stabbed near the Valley View Apartments last evening at about 6:20 p.m.

The unidentified victim, who was in his mid-20s and had been stabbed in the leg, was taken to a Billings hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.  He was later released.  Police investigated and discovered another man in a closet inside the apartment with apparent stab wounds to his arm.  He was not taken to a hospital.
The weapon has not as yet been recovered.  Two men and a woman who witnesses said were present when the stabbing occurred were unaccounted for.  Police said there’s quite a bit of blood, and the stabbing probably occurred outside the apartment on a balcony.  The investigation is ongoing.
