Think about, if you were a kid in Texas, you still got to go to school. You largely didn't have to wear masks. And you still got to play "Friday Night Lights" football. Just minutes away, right across the border- you got none of that. No school. No football. And you better wear a mask everywhere.

I know we're all getting tired of talking about masks, but school kids in Montana are sick of being forced to wear masks. And now, students in Kalispell have been planning to protest.

Enrollment in Montana's K-8 public schools is down nearly 4% this Fall, according to numbers released by the state's Superintendent of Public Instruction. Homeschool numbers, meanwhile, are up by almost 63%.

A Billings elementary school had to be locked down today (Tuesday) after a disturbance involving a parent, according to a post on the BillingsPD Twitter page.

According to the guidance that was delivered to public health officials and schools, Governor Bullock used the input of public health experts, and the CDC to develop the Outbreak Response Protocols.

The plan gives guidance to schools for academics, extracurricular activities, transportation, and physical and structural protocols to minimize crowds.

Schools are required to test once every three years or submit requests for alternative schedules.

Technicians will conduct speech, vision, hearing, thinking skills and motor development tests at Rimrock Learning Center on Friday, February 15th.
