Low humidity, potentially gusty wind and near record high temperatures this weekend means fire danger is high for Yellowstone and surrounding counties.
While the Lolo Creek Complex fire has garnered the most attention over the past week, the Rock Creek fire near Red Lodge is Montana's second highest priority.
A new fire started today, August 16th, in the Custer and Gallatin National Forests and is called the North Eightmile Fire. A helicopter and smoke jumpers are currently battling the blaze.
