After a lengthy stand-off with police, 33-year-old Dustin Linley Kennedy surrendered late Tuesday afternoon.  Billings Police said Kennedy did not have a weapon.  He is being held at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility and will face several charges including Felony Criminal Endangerment and a misdemeanor theft charge.

KTVQ.com reports that around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer spotted a stolen vehicle at the Super 8 Motel on the West End.  When the officer spoke with the driver, he said he had explosives in the pickup, according to BPD Chief Rich St. John.

The suspect then reportedly fled. When Kennedy left city road and began driving on the interstate, Montana Highway Patrol and Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office deputies continued the pursuit.  Following the chase, he hid in the rocks of the Rims near North 16th Street before he surrendered.
