A motorcycle accident resulted in the rider being taken to a Billings hospital Wednesday after he was hit by a car on Poly Drive.  The Billings Gazette reports the wreck occurred at about 12:30 p.m.  The man was riding on Poly Drive and attempted to turn north onto Glenwood Lane when an 88-year-old woman driving a Subaru rear-ended him, according to Billings Police Officer Brian Weaver.

A full-face motorcycle helmet was found by investigators near the wreckage, as emergency medical personnel loaded the man into an ambulance.  The motorcycle was leaking gasoline, and firefighters spread an absorbent material on the street as the scene was cleared.  It was unclear if the man was wearing the helmet at the time of the crash.  He was taken to Billings Clinic with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.
