After refusing to comment to the New York Times, Governor Steve Bullock (D-MT) took advantage of a Friday before the Super Bowl news dump to officially apologize. Here's the full statement in a blog post shared at Medium.com.

Despite issuing a formal statement, Bullock is apparently still refusing to comment on the story. Here's the latest from Politico:

In a wide-ranging interview in his office Friday, Bullock declined to speak on the record about the incident, preferring to address the incident in a statement. O’Brien is a former close adviser who managed Bullock’s successful 2012 gubernatorial run and served as an aide as far back as 2009.
