Opportunity Resources, based in Missoula, recently received a $152,000 grant from the Louis L. Borick Foundation to expand the Opportunity Ranch in Frenchtown. CEO of Opportunity Resources, Jesse Dunn, hopes to create a space for individuals of all abilities to enjoy.

“We’re excited this year to be building the accessible education nature trail and also the animal interaction barn,” said Dunn. “Those are the first two phases of a five year project to really turn this into a wonderful community resource.”

In addition to those projects, they will create even more accessible cites on the location.

“There will be some accessible camp sites for family reunions or gatherings, or organizational cooperate gatherings,” Dunn said. “One of the most exciting pieces of the plan is a horse arena for therapeutic riding.”

The accessible education nature trail and the animal interaction barn should be finished by late summer. They hope to have the campground up and running by next summer.
