The Billings Gazette reports that ice jams along the Musselshell River moved a bit downstream Sunday, partially allaying concerns among county officials that backed-up water could spill over the banks and into flood-prone areas.

Musselshell County Disaster and Emergency Services Deputy Director Justin Russell said Sunday evening that they’re in better shape than Saturday, but far from out of the woods. The county plans to allow a 24-hour flood advisory, issued Saturday, to expire, but it may be re-issued once a roughly mile-long ice jam near the Goulding Creek Road bridge gets moving.
