Montana Remembers Bush 41
The late former President George H.W. Bush made four trips to Montana, campaigning and celebrating Big Sky Country. The first visit was to Billings, while Bush was serving as vice president to Ronald Reagan in 1988, endorsing fellow Republican Conrad Burns for U.S. Senate at a rally at the Billings airport. Presidential candidate Bush sat down for an exclusive interview with KTVQ, speaking about the impending changes coming to Washington in a Bush administration. The next year, as the newly elected president, Bush came back to help Montana to celebrate its centennial.
