The Billings City Council has three public hearings, following a lengthy consent agenda during tonight’s regular meeting.  It begins at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at Billings City Hall.
One public hearing is on a special review request to locate a Jiffy Lube at 741 S. 24th St.  Another public hearing is on amendments to the 2015-16 budget.  The amendments cover a number of projects spread out among parks, library, fire, code enforcement, health insurance and more.
According to Finance Director Pat Weber, the amendments will be paid for by reserves or from current revenue.  The third public hearing is on the vacation of a portion of Montgomery Street near Hansen Lane.  In a memo, Public Works Director Dave Mumford said Popelka Enterprises wants to redevelop the area; the Montgomery Street right of way will be utilized in the development.  The right of way has been valued at $19,695.
