Just before 1 on Monday afternoon, in the 1100 block of West Broadway, a Missoula Police officer recognized a woman that had an outstanding warrant. According to Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh, the officer quickly made contact with 26-year-old Hope Kickingwoman.

“The officer had prior knowledge that Kickingwoman had an outstanding warrant and placed her under arrest,” Welsh said. “Subsequent to the arrest, the officer determined that Kickingwoman had a loaded syringe in her possession. It was later determined that it was filled with methamphetamine. Kickingwoman was placed under arrest for her warrants.”

Welsh says Kickingwoman was charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs, which is a felony.
