BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A 25-year-old Billings man is jailed on $100,000 bail after allegedly threatening to kill his parents and leading responding officers on a high-speed chase.

The Billings Gazette reports Michael Anthony Rodriguez pleaded not guilty Thursday to felony charges of criminal endangerment and attempted aggravated assault along with misdemeanor counts of eluding and resisting arrest.

Rodriguez was arrested Aug. 14 after his parents, who live in Columbus, reported that their son had called and threatened to kill them.

Police and Stillwater County deputies tried to stop Rodriguez at the Columbus exit, but he continued westbound when he saw the officers. The ensuing chase reached speeds of up to 90 mph and ended when he stopped the car on a gravel road outside of Columbus. Officers found two knives on Rodriguez and two more in a backpack.
