Since opening in 2010, Brad Halsten has made sure to pack each new creation at his restaurant with local ingredients, creativity and flavor.  In 2014, Halston’s Burger Dive made its first appearance on the world stage, winning the title “Best of the Bash” for their burger at the Food Network South Beach Food and Wine Festival, where world-renowned foodie Rachel Ray handed him a giant, $10,000 check.  Since then, Halsten earned a spot competing in the 2016 World Food Championships after winning a qualifying round in Montana.

Halsten will go into this year’s competition as the reigning champion, and with last year’s win earned a spot at the competition for the next five years.  The 2017 World Food Championships at the Wharf in Orange Beach Alabama are this fall, with the top ten burger round on Sunday, November 12.
