High school baseball is coming to Montana in 2023, but there is one question that needs to be answered. I mean, it starts next year!

If you haven't heard, one of the massive changes coming to high school sports in Montana in 2023 is the addition of high school-sanctioned baseball. This change has been coming for many fans of America's national pastime. This change will make South Dakota and Wyoming the only states without high school baseball.

One aspect that is still to be decided, is what schools will be adopting high school baseball. This decision will be a massive factor in how the divisions will be formed, and whether or not some schools should combine forces.

Today, the Montana High School Association announced the sites for the state tournaments in all sports, except baseball. The state is waiting to see what schools will participate, but this is a crucial opportunity to make the first baseball state tournament a little bit more special.

The sites for state tournaments range from high school facilities to Metra Park to the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse here in Bozeman for different sports. What if the Montana High School Association made the first baseball tournament even more special?

What do I want to propose for the first-ever high school baseball state championship in Montana, that they held the state tournament at one of the Frontier League fields? The independent baseball teams in Montana have fantastic facilities and are all located in easy to access areas.

Plus, think about the kids taking the field. These players would feel like the professionals that play on them every summer. That would mean the world to them! Think about all the incredible pictures and videos that would accompany the games. It would be a memorable moment for the teams, fans, and kids.

Either way, I am excited to see what happens.
