A woman was dragged by a car early this morning while fleeing a Billings grocery store with a stolen 30 pack of beer.  Sgt. Shane Winden of Billings Police Department says at about 1:40 a.m. the as-yet-unidentified 24-year-old Billings woman was one of three people who grabbed cases of beer and left the Albertsons at 611 N. 27th St. without paying.
The three suspects got into a dark colored Dodge Nitro but the vehicle took off before the woman could get completely inside.  She was dragged momentarily before letting go.  Albertsons employees detained her until police arrived.
Winden said the woman was taken to the hospital with road rash and a possible broken arm.  An arrest was delayed by her medical treatment but she will likely face misdemeanor shoplifting charges.  The other two suspects remain at large.
Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Billings Police.
