KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — The owner of a Montana auto repair shop says a decoy squad car parked in his lot was totaled when a truck crashed into it.

The Daily Inter Lake reports that Monday’s collision was caught on security cameras at Speed Farm Automotive in Somers.

Owner Shannon Farmer says the video shows a truck hitting the police car before flipping into the air, missing a nearby coffee stand and parked truck.

Farmer says he believes the truck was traveling at least 60 mph (97 kph).

Montana Highway Patrol officials say the driver was taken to the hospital.

An investigation is underway.

Authorities say the dummy police officer that sits in the decoy car was placed in a new car parked next to the totaled vehicle.
