Daines: Impeachment Backers Won’t Have Votes in Senate
It's an impeachment obsession. That's how Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) describes the antics on Capitol Hill, as the impeachment inquiry circus continues. And yet, impeachment backers simply will not have the votes to remove the President of the United States from power. They simply don't have the votes in the Senate.
That's what Senator Daines had to say Thursday morning from Capitol Hill. He also called out Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for blocking a vote on the US-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement over a year after the trade deal was brokered by President Trump. Daines also spoke on the floor of the Senate, adding this via Twitter:
While @ continues to play political games in the House, Montana's farmers and ranchers are suffering.
