Q2 reports two longtime Billings residents, charged in Utah with the murder of their daughter, have been ordered to stand trial. 26-year-old Miller Costello and his 23-year-old wife, Brenda, were ordered Friday by an Ogden, Utah judge to stand trial on a charge of aggravated murder in the 2017 abuse death of their 3-year-old daughter, who was found severely malnourished and neglected.

According to records filed in Billings Municipal Court, Costello has a long list of citations dating from 2008 to 2015. The Utah judge found there was probable cause to support the charge, outlining the prolonged abuse and neglect that was so extensive, no single cause of death could be pinpointed in the death of toddler Angelina Costello.

Evidence presented at a February hearing described Angelina as extremely emaciated with non-accidental trauma while in her parent’s care.
