I don't know why they call it the dog days of summer, it should be the dog days of winter after all the snow we've endured in Billings.

Did we break the record overnight? We had a winter storm warning Thursday for Billings and Southeastern Montana. I spoke with Joe Lester from the Billings office for the National Weather Service shortly after 6 AM. While the storm ended up largely dodging Billings, we are inching our way towards breaking the record. Lester told me that as of 6 AM on Friday, the airport clocked in .2 inches of snowfall in Billings.

That gets us to 103.3 inches as of 6 AM Friday morning. The seasonal snowfall record is 103.5. We're almost there. Let's do this Billings!
