Ballantine Murder Suspect Arrested
As of Monday night one person had died after a shooting at a residence near Ballantine, according to Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder. The Sheriff's Office, Montana Highway Patrol, and Life Flight responded to the call just before 9 p.m. off of I-94, on Highline Canal Road on July 20th.
As of about noon on Tuesday, July 21st information was released by Yellowstone County Sheriff, Mike Linder. Linder said that one man has been arrested in connection with the shooting. No details have been released about the victim.
The suspect is identified as 73 year old James Sindeelar and faces a charge of negligent homicide. Details of exactly what happened at the residence has not been released as the investigation is ongoing. An autopsy is scheduled in Missoula on July 22nd.
