After living in the Valley for 30 years, Bozeman never gets dull. Sure, it's a lot bigger than when I was in college at Montana State but it's never been 'dull'. Fire in Crazy Mountains (American Fork): Substantial Growth Possible
A major fire burning in the Crazy Mountains north of Livingston was started by lightning on July 17th and has burned nearly 15,000 acres. Hot, dry weather with a Red Flag Warning does not bode well for this and several other Montana fires.

Search and Rescue From Hell Roaring Trail on Sunday
On Sunday afternoon (7/11) a person on a horse became injured and required assistance to get back to the trailhead. Gallatin County Search & Rescue responded and got the injured person to safety.
Goose Fire Closure Map: 2,200+ Acres Burning Around Cliff Lake, Expected to Grow
One of southwest Montana's most beautiful places is on fire. The fire has doubled in size in the last 24 hours. More than 2,200 acres between Hidden Lake and Cliff lake are burning with the cause still unknown. The whole area of Cliff Lake, Wade Lake and Hidden Lake are now closed to the public.

Wildfire South of Red Lodge 69% Contained at Nearly 30K Acres
The 'Robertson Draw' fire that started Sunday, June 13th is located approximately 7 miles south of Red Lodge. As of Wednesday, July 7th the fire is 65-69% contained at nearly 30,000 acres.
