An effort to help military veterans become entrepreneurs is coming to Montana.

Military veterans Nathan Wiens and Seth Jordan joined Aaron Flint on the new radio show "Montana Talks" to pitch their upcoming "Bunker Brews" event coming up in Bozeman on February 22nd at the Story Mansion.

Nathan Wiens is a Glasgow, Montana native and Army combat veteran now serving as the executive director of Bunker Labs Bozeman. Seth Jordan is a Marine, the founder of Dog Tag Brewing, and a Bunker Labs board member.  While their first "Bunker Brews" event will take place in Bozeman, Wiens tells me that they hope to expand to Billings and Missoula next.

What is "Bunker Brews"?

According to their Event Brite page:

Bunker Brews is our monthly meet-up or happy hour where the Bunker Labs community — veterans, military spouses, and civilians alike can network with subject matter experts, investors, thought leaders, and more — creating a robust environment for growth and development.

As for Bunker Labs, the organization was started by veteran entrepreneurs. According to their website, "Through local chapters across the U.S., Bunker Labs provides educational programming, access to resources, and a thriving local network to help military veterans and their spouses start and grow businesses."

Bunker Labs has mostly been operational in larger cities like Chicago, Seattle and Silicon Valley. Their move into Montana is certainly exciting news for the Big Sky state which features a thriving high tech sector, and the second largest number of veterans in the nation per capita.
