Applications are now available for the Tourism Grant Program with the Office of Tourism and Business Development.

"We just started the fiscal year 2017 on July 1 and we've opened applications for the tourism grant program through our Office of Tourism," Communications Grant Manager Daniel Iverson said. "It's open to Montana city and county, tribal governments, nonprofits, and for the first time this year, it's open to private businesses as well. They just have a different match requirement."

Iverson says funds will be available through three different tourism-related projects.

"The first one is digital development, which would include projects like web design. There is an infrastructure category for brick and mortar projects that are related to the tourism industry for historic buildings for example, tourism attractions," Iverson said. "And then there's an event paid media advertising category. That one is designed to help with the cost of advertising events that are intended to bring visitors from out of state."
