You know what I love most about Billings, Montana? Billings is a big town filled with a bunch of small town people. Even though Billings is technically Montana's largest "city," it is a city that is filled with great people who end up moving here from small towns all across Montana.

That's why I am excited to announce that I am teaming up with Townsquare Media and starting a big new radio show based out of Billings.

It's called "Montana Talks." Why? Because this show is where Montana Talks, where you get to respond, interact, and comment on the news of the day at nearly any point in the show. You can catch us every Monday through Friday starting on Newstalk 95.5 FM and 970 AM KBUL.

From 6-8 AM we'll feature a fast moving NewsTalk format with news and weather every 10 minutes, along with local news, interviews, and commentary. Then, from 8-10 AM, we'll start to stretch our legs out a little bit and open up the format to give you more time to call in and share your thoughts with listeners across the region.

We kicked off the show this week with several local and statewide guests, including Yellowstone County Commissioner John Ostlund, Congressman Greg Gianforte (R-M), Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton, Attorney General Tim Fox, State Auditor and US Senate candidate Matt Rosendale, US Senate candidate Russ Fagg, former Congressman Rick Hill, and Ryan Sullivan recapping his time on the Billings city council- not to mention several phone calls from listeners calling out Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) for voting to continue the government shutdown. On the heels of President Trump releasing his 2017 Fake News Awards, we'll cap off the show later this week with "Fake News Friday" while we take your phone calls and have a discussion with Billings Gazette Editor Darrell Ehrlick and Q2 News Director Jon Stepanek.

Tune in to 95.5 FM, 970 AM, or listen live at www.newstalk955.com. You can also download the Newstalk 955 app for your smart phone.
