A 24-year-old Billings man was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday in connection with the multiple stabbing of a man on Monday.

Officers were called to Fraser Towers, 715 S. 28th St., at 9:17 p.m. Tuesday after receiving information that the suspect responsible for the stabbing was in the apartment. Officers converged on the apartment and apprehended Sean Tatum, according to Billings Police Lt. Casey Hafner.

Tatum was taken into the Yellowstone County Detention Facility on suspicion of felony robbery, felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, felony criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and felony probation violation, according to Hafner. Tatum's probation status stems from a negligent homicide in 2010, according to Hafner.

The arrest stems from an incident on Monday in which a 37-year-old man was stabbed five times shortly before 6 p.m. in and near the bathrooms at South Park.

 

Billings police were called Parkview Care Center, located at 600 South 28th St., at 5:53 p.m. regarding a male subject who had run into the business after being stabbed, according to Sgt. Scott Conrad..

The suspect fled on foot and is currently being sought by law enforcement for questioning.

The victim was transported to St Vincent Healthcare's Emergency Department where he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to Conrad.
