A 13-year-old Billings boy was taken to Billings Clinic by ambulance on Wednesday morning after he was struck by a motorist, according to Billings police.

At 7:48 a.m., officers were dispatched to a personal injury crash at Broadwater Avenue and 32nd Street West that involved a white 2010 Chevy Suburban and the teenager who was on a skateboard.

A white, 2010 Chevy Suburban, driven by a 40-year-old female Billings resident, was travelling east on Broadwater Avenue and made a left turn to get into a left turn lane, crossing a double yellow marked area, according to a news release.

The Suburban collided with the boy on a skateboard who was crossing Broadwater Avenue northbound and was not in a crosswalk. The youth was struck by the front right passenger side of the Suburban.

The boy does not appear to have life threatening injuries, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation by Billings Police Department.
