A woman has been charged with whipping her 14-year-old son during a domestic altercation with her ex-husband.  42 year old Karen Janice Boucher appeared in Yellowstone County Justice Court on two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of partner family member assault.  Justice of the Peace David Carter ordered Boucher held on a $20,000 bond and placed on GPS monitoring should she be released.

Billings Police responded to an assault in progress at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Homestead Self Storage.  The officer personally witnessed Boucher strike her 14-year-old son three times in the face.  Boucher’s ex-husband was strapping down items onto a truck while Boucher screamed at him.  He threw one of the straps at her.  She grabbed the strap and whipped the man and her son with it several times.  Boucher has four prior convictions for partner family member assault.
