Several weapons were recovered by police after a parking lot brawl in Billings on Wednesday night.  Nunchucks, a wooden training sword and a pool cue were confiscated in a parking lot on the 1600 block of Avenue D.  Eight people may have been involved in the physical altercation that began after three groups arrived in different vehicles and a verbal confrontation ensued in the parking lot next to Shooters Casino & Sports Bar.
The fight occurred around 8:30 p.m. and two of the three vehicles fled afterward. When officers stopped a suspect vehicle nearby, four people ran before they were apprehended.
No gun was recovered, but witnesses told law enforcement they heard someone yelling “Put the gun away” during the fight.  A vehicle was vandalized during the incident.  No one involved wanted to pursue charges or cooperate with the police investigation. Eight city vehicles responded to the altercation.
